How to change the amount of a check in the portal

Sometimes end users will submit a check for the wrong amount. Bank Shot portal users are able to update these amounts while the check is still in the "new" status in order to save end users time resubmitting, as well as make sure that their reconciliation is accurate.

To update the amount of a check:

1. Login to Bank Shot https://app.getbankshot.com/login
2. Navigate to All Payment Types or the individual payment type (earnest money, commission check, etc.)
3. Open the New item
4. Review the amount and check images to confirm they match. If they do not...
5. Select the extender to the right of the "deposit" button
6. Select "change amount"
7. Change the amount to the correct amount and select "change amount"
8. Proceed with depositing the check
